13 Mukhi Rudraksh

Rudraksh is the dried Fruit of the tree, Elaeocarpus ganitrus. Different species of Elaeocarpus give different sizes and shapes of the seed. These seeds are one of the most important tool in your spiritual path. Rudraksh’s motherland or birth place is mountains of Himalayas. Rudrakshs are considered to be sacred and have many spiritual and medicinal values both as preventive and curative. Rudraksh is the King of herbal medicine working effectively and positively both as preventive and curative.

Rudraksh are also worn on the body. Sadhus wear rudraksh  strings on their wrists, arms, waist, heads etc. Rudraksh should never be worn below the navel though. Men and women, living a householders life, both can wear rudraksh though there are some rules which should be followed. You should wear it after having a bath in the morning and removed before sleeping. Do remove when going to the toilet. And for women please do not wear it during the 5 days of the monthly cycle and during pregnancy. It should be removed if visiting a house where Sutak or naatak period is being observed. (Sutak is observed is a house from the day someone dies till his 13th day tarpan is performed. Naatak is observed in a house from the day of the birth of a child till the 12th day when its naming ceremony is performed.)

Rudraksh is not just a seed, its a highly charged object of power. And this seed resonates with such power that its aura is always golden-silver. When you wear it your aura color also improves and your chakras move faster in the clockwise direction.

13 Mukhi Rudraksh represent “Lord Kaamdev and Lord Indra” (King of the Gods). It is a very rare bead and it gives immense Wealth and the Position of Authority to its wearer. A person who wears is liked by all those people who interact with him by the blessings of Lord Indra. Hence, a person is able to achieve great heights of Success in his life by wearing this Rudraksh. A person wearing this Rudraksh is said to achieve perfection in Alchemy, Research work and Medicines. A person is able to enjoy all the Luxuries of life and he is able to lead a happy and satisfactory life. Since Lord Indra is the king of all the other Gods, a wearer of this Rudraksh is blessed by all the other Gods as well. A person desirous of getting Knowledge, Good Oratory and Debating power should use this Rudraksh. This bead in the market is often fake made by cutting more grooves in the lower faced beads. Mantra for this Rudraksh is “Om Hreem Namaha”

The effects of the Thirteen Mukhi Rudraksh are same as that of six Mukhi Rudraksh. This Rudraksh is ruled by the planet Venus, Planet of love. It is the essential power of Lord Shiva’s second son, Kumar Kaartikeya. Planet Venus governs Genital organs Throat, Valor, Sexual pleasure, Love, Music etc. The malefic effects of this can originate diseases and problems related to above organs. Six Mukhi Rudraksh wonderfully increases the mental powers of a dull student. This is very caring for meditation and spiritual achievement. This is recommended for material upliftment.

Thirteen Mukhi Rudraksh is used for treating the diseases of muscle like dystrophies; etc. Also useful for Throat, neck, kidneys, sex organs, thyroid glands.

WEARING A RUDRAKSH

Now how to wear, a very simple process. Remember Intention is everything. So be grateful to the Universe, Parabrahma, Sadashiva. You should wear it on a Monday morning in the bright half of the month/shukla paksh. Wash it with Ganga water or purified water then apply sacred ash/bhasma or vibhuti or kesar/saffron on it. Apply Haldi Kumkum on it. Hold it in your cupped hands and recite your favourite Shiv mantra over it. “Om namah shivaya”, mahamrutyunjaya, kalabhairavastak, which ever you want, either once, thrice,12 times or 108 times. Wear it and be aware of yourself.
